Afternoon on the front porch

I went out with Nikki this morning. We shopped and had fun in general. I brought home a few things. This was Chance's reaction to a new item he saw on the front porch.



And this was the item that held his attention.







Then I moved on to take other pictures. Green.



And he moved on too. To roll in something in the yard that was plenty interesting.

Chance...in Black & White

Felt black and white today. It was either rainy or sunny. Never in between. Chance was confused as to why all the photos.

Chance on a rainy afternoon

Chance occupied himself with his favorite toy...a nerf football. With a squeaker. He adores the squeaker!

A walk after dinner

Chance & I walked to the park by our house after dinner. I took a couple of pictures.

A dog and a baby in the park

This was so funny. We went to the park. Took our dog. Our friends came...with their baby. Chance LOVES this baby. LOVES. And it turned out they worked the playground as a pair. Unison. A well oiled machine. It was fun to watch. Chance was the hole digger. Lucas was the hole inspector. They both got in and out of the hole. Sometimes together. Kisses and hugs flowed like wine.





Then, Lucas decided to move along.



It was eventually time to head on back home.



And Chance was like "la dee da. Oh...hold on. My baby is in that stroller!!!"

A new lens...

The FedEx lady brought my new lens today. It was a nice surprise after a rather hard day. I took it for a trial run. First in the house then out and about. Love it! The only thing that is wrong with this lens is the weight...it is a whopping 2.875 pounds. Think I'll use my monopod quiet a bit with this one.

A rainy day...a dog...a camera

I have been practicing my back button focus. It has taken me a while (ie FOREVER) to figure it out.

For the photographers using a Nikon D90 out there...I put it on AF-C, and I can then use the AE-AF button to focus, and then take a shot using the shutter even after I've released the AE-AF button, while retaining the focus. I can also track moving objects while keeping the AE-AF button pushed. Now. Is that cool or what? It separates the focus and shutter. No more half pushed...oops, I pushed it all the way, shutter button mishaps.

So, here are some shots I took because it was rainy. And I wanted to test my new skill.
