I had an afternoon of relaxing. Nice. Pulled out my 80-200mm and took pictures around the house.

Something that really tickles me. I have a blue birdhouse on my potting bench by the back door. One year a bird nested in it. This year a little lizard has taken up residence in it. Every once in awhile, when walking by, he will poke his little head out and watch me walk by.

No one has ever lived in my red birdhouse. Yet.

On a side note. Is that not the sorriest little sunflower you have ever seen? Poor little thing. Actually bloomed.

I went out with Nikki this morning. We shopped and had fun in general. I brought home a few things. This was Chance's reaction to a new item he saw on the front porch.

And this was the item that held his attention.

Then I moved on to take other pictures. Green.

And he moved on too. To roll in something in the yard that was plenty interesting.

Felt black and white today. It was either rainy or sunny. Never in between. Chance was confused as to why all the photos.

But, dang. He is a striking fellow.

Chance occupied himself with his favorite toy...a nerf football. With a squeaker. He adores the squeaker!

Chance & I walked to the park by our house after dinner. I took a couple of pictures.

On a bike ride, one early morning, I turned down a street I don't travel often. I was greeted by a most magical garden. Flowers. Paths. Old fences. So inviting. As I was getting ready to ride on I saw someone sitting in a chair by the side door. The lady was sweet enough to let me interrupt her quiet morning and answer all my questions. I asked her if I might photograph her flower gardens. She most happily agreed. On my next day off I brought my camera and photographed all the beauty in the still morning light.

If you look, oh so carefully at the picture on the right in the next set, you will see my riding partner, Chance. Tethered to the garden gate. Watching and waiting. Patiently.

As I was taking pictures, and being completely immersed in all the colors and scents, I heard a soft "meow" and looked up. This is what I was greeted with.

And then I saw the blue chest. It was in the outside sitting area. I am in love.

She said I should cut some flowers to take home. To make me happy. So I did. And it does.

This was so funny. We went to the park. Took our dog. Our friends came...with their baby. Chance LOVES this baby. LOVES. And it turned out they worked the playground as a pair. Unison. A well oiled machine. It was fun to watch. Chance was the hole digger. Lucas was the hole inspector. They both got in and out of the hole. Sometimes together. Kisses and hugs flowed like wine.

Then, Lucas decided to move along.

3

It was eventually time to head on back home.

4

And Chance was like "la dee da. Oh...hold on. My baby is in that stroller!!!"
