Breakfast was such a joy! We ate at The Ruby Slipper. It was an unexpected surprise. Right next to our hotel, so it was convenient. Drew had, each morning because it was so good, Migas A Tex-Mex breakfast scramble featuring onions, tomatoes, cilantro, pepper jack cheese, spicy chorizo sausage and tortilla chips, garnished with housemade pico de gallo and sour cream. I ventured with something new each morning. Morning one I had Bananas Foster Pain Perdu French-bread based topped with rum-flambéed bananas & raisins. YUM!! Morning two I had French-bread stuffed with strawberry cheesecake and drizzled with a magical sauce and topped with an equally magical whipped cream. Double YUM!!
The park was full of all sorts of people. This little lady was working on her embroidery. And napping. I loved her hat and flowered skirt. She melted into her surroundings.
Steam punk seemed to be flourishing in New Orleans, which brought me such joy.
We worked our way to the French Market. It is almost sensory overload. (Like so much of New Orleans.)
This vender must of had a late night. He was really deep into his nap.
This guy had an interesting head of hair.
